The City is set to begin its 2024 Paving Improvement Project, which will impact the downtown core. A key part of the project involves paving Main Street, from Washougal River Road to 27th Street, and making ADA and drainage improvements. Additionally, the intersection of Pendleton Way and Main Street will be reconstructed as a concrete intersection, with restricted traffic access during this time.
Starting Tuesday, September 17th, the intersection of Pendleton Way and Main Street will be closed and will not reopen until Monday, October 7th. Paving on Main Street will begin the week of October 7th, but will be restricted to nighttime work between Washougal River Road and 21st Street to minimize disruption to downtown businesses.
Businesses and services in downtown remain open during construction and appreciate your support and patience during this time.
The schedule is subject to weather conditions, and dates may change accordingly.
