The City of Washougal is developing a Stormwater Master Plan (SMP) to improve drainage, protect water quality, and manage its municipal storm sewer system. The storm sewer system is designed to gather stormwater runoff and discharge it to local streams and rivers. The City maintains and/or inspects:
- Over 2,000 catch basins and field inlets
- Nearly 45 miles of pipes and ditches
- Over 340 stormwater treatment and flow-control facilities
- 220 drywells
- 100 outfalls
The City has identified ten potential stormwater capital projects where lack of stormwater infrastructure, aging infrastructure, or older designs may be contributing to ponding, hazardous conditions for maintenance, or poor water quality. The City will select the top three based on severity of the problem identified and additional benefits of the identified solutions.
You are invited to help us prioritize these projects by selecting three preferred projects at this web site: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/4073b2538e744249a5e3efeadefc3d8e/. The survey closes in two weeks.
