Notice of City of Washougal Council Vacancy – Position #3

The City of Washougal is now accepting applications from Washougal residents to fill a vacancy on the City Council.  A position on the seven-member City Council is opening following the resignation of Mayor Rochelle Ramos and appointment of Mayor David Stuebe to position #1.

The term of the vacated Council position will commence once a candidate is appointed by a majority vote of the City Council, and will expire after the results of the November 2023 general election are certified.

The timeline for filling the Council vacancy is as follows:

  • October 18, 2022: Application packets due to the City Clerk by 5:00 pm
  • October 24, 2022: Candidate interviews/swearing in of new member during the regular Council meeting at 7:00 pm

The application and more information can be picked up at City Hall or downloaded from the City website at www.cityofwashougal.us
