Traffic Advisory: Asphalt Dig-Outs This Week

November 16–19, possibly into the week of the November 22

7am to 7pm, daily

  • 11/16 – E-Street between 33rd and 32nd, 49th Street and 770 “G” Street if time allows
  • 11/17 – G Street
  • 11/18 – C Street
  • 11/19 – Paving on C Street

Schedule is subject to change depending on weather.

Asphalt dig-outs are a part of the City of Washougal’s pavement management program to maximize the service life of our roads. Dig-outs involve removing the existing roadway to a depth of 13” and installing new crushed rock and asphalt to replace areas of pavement failure. The new asphalt must be compacted and allowed to cool prior to reopening.

Most roads will remain open but expect delays as traffic is flagged through. No Parking signs will be placed out the night before to warn residents of the coming construction.

On the day of the dig-outs we will need your help to expedite the work:

  • Limit pedestrian activity near the work area. There will be a lot of machinery in the area and we want everyone to be safe.
  • Park your vehicle on another street, if possible.

Due to the location of the dig-outs C Street will be closed between blocks while under construction.
