Boards & Commissions
The City of Washougal has several Boards, Commissions and Committees. The Boards and Commissions were each created by City Ordinances to serve as advisory bodies to the city administration, the Mayor and the City Council. Most require that you must live within the Washougal city limits and they generally meet once per month. Committees are created on an as-needed basis, usually by Mayoral Directive or Council Resolution.

Arts Commission
The Washougal Arts Commission was established at the May 29, 2018 City Council meeting to identify and actively encourage the development and sustainability of arts in the city.

Parks Board
The Park Board of Commissioners is comprised of seven members appointed by the Mayor, approved by the City Council, six shall be residents of the city and one may be a nonresident within the UGB.

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on rezone applications and legislative items such as vision statements, comprehensive plan amendments, and code amendments.
