The Public Works Department has nine different service divisions:
Administration: Provides overall department management, programming and procurement services for contract management, bid services, and policy and processes analysis
Engineering: Responsible for project management and facilitation of the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for streets, stormwater, utilities, parks, and facilities.
Facilities: Responsible for the operations and maintenance of all city owned public facilities.
Cemetery: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
Parks: Responsible for acquisition, planning, development, maintenance, and operation of all City parks, open spaces, and trails
Stormwater: Responsible for ensuring that stormwater (rainfall or snowmelt that flows over the ground) is properly treated to minimize pollution into our streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Streets: Manages the community's investment in over 150 lane miles of roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, bridges, signs, vegetation, and rights-of-way.
Water: Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of water production, storage, and delivery facilities.
Wastewater: Responsible for wastewater collections, sanitary sewer pump stations, wastewater treatment, and discharge to the Columbia River.
