Building Code Changes Effective July 1st
Submitting construction plans?  Are you aware of the code changes effective July 1, 2010?  The State Building Code Council has adopted the 2009 editions of the codes below, with the noted amendments. These codes will go into effect July 1, 2010, with the exception of the Washington State Energy Code. Click the article link to read more about these changes.

City of Washougal Development Incentives
The City of Washougal has completed several economic development incentive programs over the past few months.  We anticipate that these programs and concepts will prove to be mutually beneficial to the city as well as developers and builders within our community.

Cottage Housing
Part of the challenge of meeting the housing needs of our growing city is to offer housing types that address the values that drive demand for detached single family housing, but with smaller spaces and smaller price tags. In order to meet this challenge, the City of Washougal has adopted a Cottage Housing ordinance.
