Steamboat Landing
Watch for future projects to improve and enhance visitor experience at Steamboat Landing Park! |

The Washougal Parks Commissioners and the Washougal Arts & Culture Association inspired the Women Who Weld to interpret nature’s four “Elements” of Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth through kinetic metal art. These dynamic pieces will enhance the path from the US Corps of Engineers Levee trail to the Steamboat Landing Park observation deck. Each unique piece provides an experience of movement and color, complimenting the beauty of this park throughout the seasons. |

Steamboat Landing Park, 100 South Washougal River Road, provides pedestrian access to several points of interest. Visitors can stroll a floating boardwalk on the Columbia River that leads to an elevated observation deck with vast views of the River, Mt. Hood and Oregon. A peaceful wooded trail provides an alternate short cut to the deck. Visitors can also access the US Corps of Engineers levee trail (used by walkers, bicycles and horses), leading to Captain William Clark Park at Cotton Wood Beach, and the Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge trail (no dogs or bicycles allowed on the Refuge trail). The February 2010 opening of the SR-14 Pedestrian Tunnel provides seamless access between the downtown district and the Columbia River. Restrooms are available in the Steamboat Landing parking lot.
