Elizabeth Park, a neighborhood park located at 811 - 14th Street, provides a paved walking trail, basketball half court and a playground for the ages of 5-12 years old Elizabeth Park History Elizabeth Park possesses an interesting and shaded history. Information found at the Two River’s Heritage Museum reveals that an unknown man sold this property to the City of Washougal for $10 with the condition the park receive his grandmother’s name. An escaped fugitive from the FBI, the man came in to City Hall to sign the papers, unaware that the FBI lay in wait for him outside the building. Upon completing his property sale transaction to the City of Washougal, he walked out of the building and into a waiting pair of handcuffs. The man’s identity remains a mystery, since the name on the Park deeds lead to a string of aliases.
